Let's Build: A Consultancy Website - Part 27
Coding the Services Page
So far in this series you've seen me team up with my, now wife, Alyssa to design and build a consultancy website for marketing purposes. Part 27 marks the beginning of the coding phase for the services page.
Behind the scenes, I went ahead and carried out the design of the page. Rather than spend too much time filming it I sped forward so I could show you how we approach coding it.
The page utilizes a very similar style but has a few new graphics and calls to action. Also on this page is a contact form of which we will integrate into a later part of the series.
With Kirby there aren't as many plugins as you might be used to with WordPress. In fact, the plugin base is very hands-on in comparison. You'll need to have some good knowledge of PHP
and general programming to extend a Kirby theme to a considerable degree. That being said we will make use of a plugin Kirby in this series that requires a bit of setup before it can work. More on this in the next few parts. Be sure to follow along!
